Donation & Refund Policy

Tusk & Quill (“the Publication”) is a project of Samatva Inc., a New Jersey nonprofit corporation and recognized 501(c)(3) organization.
This policy explains how we handle charitable donations and product purchases made through https://www.tuskandquill.org

1. Charitable Donations

When you make a contribution through our donation page, you are making a tax-deductible gift to support the Publication’s nonprofit mission.
Donations are processed securely by Stripe, and you will receive an email receipt for your records.

All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by U.S. law.
Our federal tax identification number (EIN) is 92-3961391.

2. Non-Deductible Product Purchases

The Publication also sells certain products—such as print editions, books, or merchandise—through the Site.
Payments for these items are not charitable donations because you receive goods of commensurate value in return.

Product purchases are treated as retail transactions, not contributions.
They are not tax-deductible.
Sales tax may apply where required by law.

Any receipts or confirmations for product sales will identify the purchase and will not describe it as a donation.

3. Refunds for Donations

All charitable donations are considered final and non-refundable.
Exceptions are granted only in cases of:

Duplicate transactions, or
Clear error in the amount charged.

4. Refunds for Product Sales

Products sold through the Site may be returned or refunded only if:

The item arrives damaged or defective, or
You received the wrong product.

Requests must be submitted within 30 days of delivery to info@tuskandquill.org

5. Recurring Donations

If you set up a recurring (monthly or annual) donation, you may cancel future charges at any time by contacting us at info@tuskandquill.org

6. Donor and Customer Privacy

We use donor and purchaser information solely to process payments, issue receipts, and communicate about our work.
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties except our payment processor, Stripe.

7. Security

All transactions on the Site are encrypted via SSL and processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1–compliant payment processor.
The Publication does not collect or store full credit-card numbers or sensitive payment information on its servers.
